Clama GmbH & Co. KG from Mülheim an der Ruhr has started a recall for the product "Champignons 1st choice, in slices", brand King’s Crown. There could be broken glass in the glasses sold by the Aldi Nord discount chain.

Clama GmbH & Co. KG from Mülheim an der Ruhr is recalling the product "First choice mushrooms, in slices", brand King’s Crown, with the best before date 31.12.2020 and the lot number 17011-8 3502/01041. "It cannot be ruled out that the product contains broken glass," the company wrote in a message. The mushrooms are distributed by the discounter Aldi Nord.

Affected goods can be returned to Aldi Nord

The lot number can be found on the lid edge of the glass. According to the company, the product was "delivered to the federal states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony-Anhalt".

The affected goods can be returned to the nearest Aldi Nord branch. According to Clama GmbH & Co. KG, only the product "Champignons 1st choice, in slices" with the above lot number is affected by the recall.

Splinters of glass can cause serious injury
